Jacking screws
At FTC, we pride ourselves in being able to fulfil our customers’ diverse fastening needs, including the production of jacking screws. Jacking screws are a useful jack mechanism used for raising or lowering objects of moderate size and weight. Consisting of a robust vertical screw, with a load table mounted on top, jacking screws turn into a threaded hole within a stationary support base. A metal handle can be fitted into a hole in the rotating collar on the head of the screw. When the handle is turned, the screw moves, thereby changing the level of the load base.  The jacking screws in our portfolio can be tailored to meet each client’s needs.

We are able to precision-machine the complex parts required by aerospace manufacturers because of our on-going investment in state-of-the-art machinery and technology.  We have the latest technology including 3 and 5 axis CNC machining, turning and punch press, as well as water jet capability and conventional hydraulic, manual and punch presses. This equipment means that we are able to be extremely responsive to our customers’ needs when it comes to producing bespoke machined parts for individual projects or high-volume precision-machined pieces for regular delivery.  Our expert team are able to utilise this technology to produce parts with tight tolerances and complex radiuses, delivering quality and consistency time after time.
