CNC Turning

At FTC, we offer a range of machining processes, including conventional and CNC turning and milling, which enable us to meet the needs of our clients within the aerospace and military industries.

All manufacturing processes have different strengths and weaknesses in terms of precision, cost, production time, and levels of impact of the process on material strength. Fastener Technology Corp., we have been creating fasteners designed to withstand the rigors of the aerospace and military industries for more than four decades. As a result, our technicians are skilled at advising clients on the most suitable production methods to achieve their specifications.

CNC turning services

Turning plays a vital role in the process of manufacturing aerospace components. While many cutting techniques involve the use of a moving cutter, turning utilizes a stationary cutting tool that shapes components as they turn. While turning can be done using conventional (manual) or CNC (Computer Numeric controlled) machines, CNC turning is usually the preferred method as it offers increased efficiency and productivity. The CNC process itself allows precise creation and replication of digital designs, guaranteeing 100% accuracy and replication.
With decades of experience in programming CNC machines, FTC’s technicians are able to programme CNC software quickly and accurately, enabling rapid programming for the adaptation and production of a range of parts. This efficiency leads to higher volume production and reduced costs and lead time.

Unrivalled service

Established in 1979, Fastener Technology Corp. has been making fasteners designed to meet aerospace and military engineering needs for more than forty years. Today, FTC is part of the Avantus Group, a family group of nine aerospace and defense organisations and one supply chain and logistics business based in the US, UK, Mexico and Europe. Together, we are industry leaders, providing a tailored, personal service to clients of all sizes across the globe.
