History

Fastener Technology Corp. (FTC) was founded in 1979 by Mr. Bulent Gulistan, affectionately known as “BG”.  34 innovative aviation fastener patents followed and FTC grew to become a company that fulfills the requirements and needs of more than 400 customers, the majority being major aerospace manufacturers such as Lockheed, Boeing, Northrop, and Raytheon.  
 

FTC products are used by Lockheed’s Trident Missile program, Raytheon’s Sparrow Missile Program, NASA’s Moon Rover program, and Lockheed’s F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program. 

FTC has received many awards of excellence such as Lockheed Martin’s Top 25 Supplier Award in 2015, Boeing’s Gold Level Performance in 2012 and 2013, and Lockheed Martin‘s Star Supplier Award in 2003. 

FTC is driven by a pursuit of excellence, creativity, energy and commitment to the well-being and success of the organization and customers it supports.

2021

FTC wins accolade as a Top Defense Manufacturing Service Provider 2021

2019

FTC is acquired by Avantus Aerospace, a global leader of C-Class and Composite parts for the aerospace and defense industry,

2018

FTC adds robotics to the manufacturing process and implements a new ERP system.

2017

Dennis Suedkamp Joins Fastener Technology Corp. as Chief Executive Officer

June 2006

SBA Administrator’s Award for Excellence -
The Small Business Association (SBA) awarded FTC the Administrator’s Award for Excellence.

2005

F-35 Lightening II - The Magic Groove® fastener is engineered for Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Stealth Fighter program

1999

FTC established AS9100 and ISO certification.

1997

FTC provides fasteners for Lockheed Martin’s F22 Stealth Fighter program.

1995

FTC provides fasteners for NASA’s Moon Rover program

1991

Winner of The Collier Trophy for demonstrated excellence in aeronautics and
astronautics on the Industrial Team for the B-2 project.

1990’s

NASA uses FTC for their International Space Station platform and the Rockwell Space Shuttle program. FTC is added as a supplier to Lockheed Martin’s Trident Missile System

1980’s

Wins General Dynamics’ (now Lockheed Martin), F16 program, Lockheed’s Stealth Fighter program, Rockwell’s Orbiter program, and Northrop’s B2 Bomber program.

1979

Founded in 1979 by Bulent Gulistan, Innovator and life-long friend of FTC.
